Next week, U.S. Senator Ed Markey will face off against his challenger in the first televised debate of the 2020 Democratic Primary Election for U.S. Senate. I'm writing to ask you to join us in showing strong support for Senator Markey by attending a pre-debate rally. Details are as follows:

DATE: Tuesday, February 18th
TIME: 3:00 PM to 5:45 PM
LOCATION: WGBH Studios
1 Guest Street
Brighton, MA 02135

Last September, Senator Markey received the unanimous endorsement of the AFSCME Council Executive Board in his re-election campaign. Two months later, delegates to our Biennial Convention in Danvers also voted to unanimously to endorse his re-election.

In more than four decades as a member of the house and senate, Senator Markey has accumulated a 98% lifetime AFSCME voting record. Moreover, our legislative team in Washington, DC views Senator Markey as a leader who not only supports our issues, but consistently does the extra work needed to build support for these issues among his senate colleagues.

Now more than ever, we need experienced friends like Senator Markey in the United States Senate. Please plan to take some time to join us for the rally anytime between 3:00 PM and 5:45 PM. If you are planning to attend, please email Jim Durkin. If you have any questions, please feel free to call Jim anytime at 978-866-2283.
