Like legislation passed by the House on March 25, the Senate bill would allow eligible workers to add five years to their age, years of service, or a combination thereof. In an effort to entice workers who are already eligible for the maximum pension benefit, the Senate bill would also allow for one-time incentive payments to workers who agree to retire. The House bill includes no such provisions.
