The AFL-CIO (The American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations) is the largest federation of unions in the United States. It is made up of 60 national and international unions. On May 6th, 2023, the NH AFL-CIO held its 61st Constitutional Convention.

At this Convention, Local 298 President Karen Sutkus and Council 93 Field Services Director Steve Lyons were elected to another 2 year term to sit on the Executive Council for the NH AFL-CIO. Having AFSCME, and Local 298 representation on this board is a signficifant achievement. We look forward to continued advocacy for our members and advancements in the Labor Movement!
