"Congratulations to the members of AFSCME Local 1700 Duxbury School Custodians on their victory over a short-sited plan to privatize custodial services in Duxbury this morning.

It’s time once again to start looking ahead to the warm summer months and begin preparing for the 15th Annual Council 93 Memorial Golf Tournament. As you may know, the golf tournament is the premier fundraising event for the Council 93 Memorial Scholarship Fund, which helps AFSCME families meet the high cost of a college education. Over the past 20 years, the fund has provided more than $100,000 in scholarships to AFSCME members, their spouses, children, stepchildren, grandchildren and legal dependents.

AFSCME Council 93 is proud to announce its 24th Annual Council 93 Memorial Scholarship

In 2021, the program will award five individuals $1,000 scholarships to students enrolled in a two-year or four-year accredited college.

Scholarships are renewable for each year of attendance with yearly proof of enrollment.

COVID-19: AFSCME Corrections Preparedness, Prevention and Management

A recent study out of Stanford University concluded that COVID-19 spreads faster in a correctional facility than it does on a cruise ship.

The Human Resources Division in collaboration with AFSCME Council 93, is pleased to announce the launch of our 2021 Training and Career Ladder Program (TCL). The program aims to create a diverse and engaging collection of training opportunities for participating bargaining unit members. This year’s TCL program features a new model which will allow union members more access to a wider range of professional development courses.

Last night AFSCME Council 93's good friend and union brother, Marty Walsh was confirmed the Secretary of Labor by the United States Senate in a 68-29 vote!
