AFSCME Boston Citywide Contract Signed by Mayor and Passed by City Council

After an historic contract signing ceremony late last week with Mayor Michelle Wu in the Eagle Room at Boston City Hall, the Boston City Council today unanimously voted to approve funding for the AFSCME Council 93 Boston Citywide Contract!

This contract will provide significant base wage gains, more flexible working conditions and scheduling, increased time off, and more, with no major givebacks from the Union!

These front-line workers provide the basic, and often unheralded, city services we all rely on and are deserving of a contract that recognizes and values their work that helps make Boston the world-class city it is today.

Thank you to Mayor Wu and her administration as well as the Boston City Council for being a partner with AFSCME Council 93 in working to provide a fair contract that will not only attract applicants to city services but also keep valued veteran employees working for the City of Boston.

Congratulations to the hard-working men and women of Locals 296, 445, 703, 783, 804, 944, 1198, 1631, and 1892 on their well-deserved Union contract!
