Council 93 Unit 2 Locals Reach Tentative 3-Year Contract Agreement

This morning AFSCME Council 93 Unit 2 Locals reached a Tentative Agreement with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for a new 3-year contract for members working for the Departments of Developmental Services, Mental Health, Public Health and Youth Services, employees of the Department of Conservation and Recreation, and other Massachusetts state workers. In total, approximately 8,000 state workers would be impacted by this contract.

The Tentative Agreement provides significant wage increases, increased shift differentials, promotional opportunities, and streamlined reclassification and upgrade procedures for hardworking frontline AFSCME Council 93 members. This 3-year contract, if ratified, will run from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027.
